Paired with the AMG sports suspension, new MAGIC BODY CONTROL uses a built-in camera to scan the road surface ahead for bumps and undulations. Based on what it sees, the system can then adjust the damping in advance, and increase or reduce the load applied to the wheels using active hydraulics. The result is the most sublime ride and precise handling imaginable.
In addition, carving through corners is more comfortable and assured than ever, thanks to the new curve tilting function. This enables the vehicle body to lean into bends by up to 2.5 degrees when cornering, much like a motorbike in full flow (though considerably less dramatic).
On poor surfaces, suspension can also be raised to prevent damage to the vehicle’s underside, while at high speeds it is automatically lowered to enhance aerodynamics and stability.
